Experience

Kaylee Simerson leads the Northern Michigan region for Adamy Valuation and serves clients across the state and nationally. She specializes in providing valuation and advisory services for a variety of purposes, including mergers and acquisitions, management succession planning, corporate strategic planning, employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs), gift and estate planning, charitable gifting, and other financial transactions. Kaylee is also highly experienced in supporting litigated matters, particularly in divorce proceedings, where she provides business valuations, income determination for support, marital balance sheet preparation, pension valuations, and other forensic accounting and litigation consulting services. Kaylee has worked extensively on litigated matter and has expert witness and testimony experience.

With over 15 years of finance experience, including eight years in commercial banking, Kaylee brings a comprehensive understanding of financial analysis, strategic planning, and business operations to her work in business valuation, forensic accounting, and litigation support. As a member of the leadership team at Adamy Valuation, she plays an integral role in driving client success, fostering innovation, and leading teams and internal talent and development strategies. Her finance background and leadership experience provide her with a unique perspective on business valuation, allowing her to effectively support both financial strategy and litigation objectives.

Professional Activities

Kaylee is also a member of Expert Resource Connection (ERC), an invitation-only group of forensic accounting professionals focused on litigation support for trial lawyers. In this role, she collaborates with peers to share resources, provide technical assistance, and refine best practices in forensic accounting and litigation support. As a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) and Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV), Kaylee combines her extensive financial expertise with her specialized knowledge in valuation and advisory services to deliver valuable insights and solutions to her clients.

Outside of Work

When Kaylee is not in the office, she enjoys spending time with family and friends enjoying all the lovely amenities Northern Michigan has to offer. Kaylee and her husband, Pete, have three young kids. As a family, they love to hike, golf, fish, and try out the local shops and eateries. If the Simerson family is not out venturing, they are likely doing home improvement projects or spending time outside 4-wheeler riding or exploring the woods on their acreage. Outside of her career and being a mom, one of Kaylee’s main passions is fitness. She loves working out, running, biking, and all things active.
