Jake Helwick is a Manager with Adamy Valuation. He specializes in valuation and financial advisory services relating to estate and gift tax reporting; equity incentive plans, including employee stock ownership plans; financial reporting; economic damages; business interruption; transaction opinions; succession planning; corporate strategic planning; and other unnoted litigious matters across a multitude of industries. His valuation background stems from former roles in an Analyst and a Senior Analyst capacity.
Prior to joining Adamy, Jake worked for a large Michigan-based bank as a Commercial Credit Analyst in a multi-year leadership development program. In this position, he was tasked with assessing credit risk and underwriting loans for real estate, commercial, and industrial purposes. He also previously served as a risk management intern for a well-known, global chemical company, and spent two years living abroad in Tokyo, Japan.
Jake is a graduate of Grand Valley State University (GVSU) where he received a degree in accounting and finance and he earned his Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) credential in 2023. He remains involved in the communities in which he serves. Jake is a mentor to students in the Seidman College of Business at GVSU, and holds voluntary positions as a board member and the ACG Cup Committee Chair of the Association for Corporate Growth – Western Michigan Chapter.
Jake is an outdoor enthusiast who spends significant time on the water and in the woods. Unsurprisingly, country is his preferred genre of music. When he is not fishing, hunting, or boating, chances are a home improvement project awaits. As a Michigan native, Jake enjoys traveling to scenic locations with his wife, Lexi, and Golden Retrievers, Remi and Winnie. He is one of our resident extroverts who is energized by conversation with new and familiar faces, so be sure to say hello.
Core Value Jake’s favorite Adamy Value is being Accountable to the Team. Having accountability creates a fluid process both internally and externally, which thereby enables us to meet deadlines, create balance, achieve objectives, and provide a pleasant experience for all involved.
