Business Valuation Analyst

Position Overview

Business Valuation Analysts work as part of a client engagement team on valuation and litigation
projects for various purposes. You will engage in direct client communication and gain exposure
to a variety of businesses and industries. As part of the team, you will deliver premium quality
work products with a high level of service that supports our reputation as a top-tier valuation and
litigation support service provider.

Our clients include business owners, company executives, and advisors. As a Business Valuation
Analyst, you will have the opportunity to work directly with these company leaders and advisors,
namely attorneys and CPAs. You will join an ambitious team and have an integral role in building
a leading institution and executing our long-term growth strategy.

New hires will be onboarded via a robust training program that offers Business Valuation Analysts
exposure to nearly all professional staff with the ability to customize training techniques and
approaches based on learning styles and levels of experience. Our training program is designed
to provide analysts with the tools and knowledge needed to grow and develop in the Business
Valuation Analyst role.

Key Qualifications and Responsibilities

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related discipline
  • Minimum six months of finance or related experience (includes internships)
  • Effective and professional communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong technical and analytical skills
  • Clear and concise writing skills
  • Proactive work ethic with ability to successfully work independently
  • Professional presence
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Up to 30% travel required (primarily in February – April, subject to change based on the
    environment created by the pandemic)

Responsibilities:

  • Company research and analysis
  • Financial statement analysis
  • Damage analysis
  • Industry and economic research
  • Financial modeling (income approach and market approach)
  • Preparation of due diligence questions
  • Writing valuation reports
  • Attending and actively participating in client meetings and/or calls
  • Contribute to internal projects and team functions
